How do I use an A-B Switch?
The A-B Switch brings you two separate sets of programming:
A) for “Air” brings you the local digital broadcast TV channels, including the high-definition channels and the associated sub-channels. Some really good old programs here! Do all channel switching through your TV’s remote and do not use the cable box.
B) for “Box” connects you to our cable box for the cable programming. Keep your TV on channel 3 and do all tuning through the cable box.
- Does Washington Cable offer internet or telephone service?
Sorry, we do not.
- How do I receive the digital channels and sub-channels?
To setup your TV to receive the digital channels for the first time, select the Menu on your TV's remote. Then go to Channels, and then select Channel Search or Channel Scan. It might take up to ten minutes for your TV to complete the scan. After that, your TV should remember the channels available on your system. Depending on your TV make and model, the analog channels might be displayed in a separate list from the digital ones, or they may be interspersed. For more details, check your TV's operating guide.
- How do I receive the analog channels?
You may need to add a dot-zero (.0) or a dash-zero (-0) on your remote to receive the analog channels. For example, 14.0 for analog WRC Channel 4
